The port of Rotterdam is the largest seaport in Europe and one of the most important ports in the world. This is partly due to the good accessibility of the port by sea and the connections with the hinterland. In addition, the port of Rotterdam distinguishes itself in the field of safety and sustainability. The port accounts for some 385,000 jobs at companies in the Netherlands.
A large port requires good organisation. Clear signposting is therefore very important. Bureau Mijksenaar therefore drew up a new signage plan. We then produced the signs and installed them in the port area. The signs in Europoort, Botlek, Eemhaven, Waalhaven and Merwevierhaven have now been completed and we are completing the project in Maasvlakte 1 and 2. Not only have we renewed the company signs in the port area, we have also created welcome signs. In this way, we have created a uniform, welcoming image that befits a world-class port.
